TA Instruments Discovery Hybrid Rheometer HR3

This rheometer is at controlled shear stress working in the torque range 0.5 nN.m - 200 mN.m. It is possible to perform all the rheological standard tests to make a complete mechanical characterization of the material to be studied. The behavior of dynamic viscosity, viscoelastic functions (G’ and G” and complex viscosity), creep, and yield stress of materials can be easily performed. The system is equipped with a peltier plate that allow to explore the rheological properties of fluids in a T range between -40 °C and 200 °C. The available geometries are are a smooth plate (diameter 40 mm) and a crosshatched plate (diameter 40 mm). The system is further equipped with a Dynamic Mechanical Analysis system (tension set up) that can provide a direct measure of the Young Modulus and with an Environmental Test Chamber that allows the use of the DMA set up in the temperature range of -160°C to 600°C
