CSGI is equipped with all the main instrumentations for the study and characterization of hard and soft materials, with special reference to the analysis of surfaces. The expertise of CSGI personnel ranges from Small Angle Scattering techniques (light and x-ray) to spectroscopy (NMR, Raman, IR, UV-vis, fluorescence), from microscopy (confocal, optical, electron, and atomic) to calorimetry, from surface analysis (ellipsometry, QCM, surface tension) to rheology.
