The SurfToGreen project, coordinated by CSGI, kicked off in Gothenburg on October 1-2. The event, hosted by Chalmers University of Technology, brought together all involved institutions to share ideas and plan the upcoming project activities.
This initiative, supported by the CBE-JU (Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking), aims to revolutionize key industrial applications by creating a new range of fully bio-based surfactants. By utilizing renewable biomass-derived building blocks sourced from agricultural and forest by-products in the EU, the project aspires to develop surfactants with over 95% bio-based content.
