Prof. Emiliano Fratini, Prof. Piero Baglioni and Dr. Giovanni Ferraro are among the inventors of a new USA Patent.

Titled Method for the assessment of the dispersing capacity of new or used lubricating compositions and of additives for lubricating compositions, it describes a method for evaluating how well a lubricating composition or additive can disperse carbon particles, by analyzing micrographic images of the dispersion and measuring image lacunarity to quantify the dispersion quality.
